Re: Information: Yz125 Funding
Phat's idea definitely sounds like the best option to me. If you're not comfortable with releasing everything, just release enough so that new, quality content can be released by other members for your model. If not, I imagine lower quality models would continue to be used just for the customisation...

Re: MXS Twitter
I even kept the stock graphics on my 92 RM of all things. I swear it grows on you! Bleugh! My dad used to have one. Didn't take him long to get rid of the stock stickers and disgusting seat. He cut his own "RM" graphics out of some blue vinyl sheet (nicely accented with white paint pen), cut his ow...

Re: Released Track Objects
If you're really desperate you can have this one I made a long time ago if I can find the files. It's nothing special since it's just a single post with a flat plane alpha'd out and not quite like the one in your pic. I'm sure I've seen a better one on a track fairly recently but I can't think which...

Re: MXS Twitter
Thank you so much! The new system was really bugging me but not quite enough to get me to go and search for a solution, you saved me the job.

Re: Terrain Feel and Factors
Looking at it a little more carefully, the resolution isn't as high as I thought it was. I saw those wheel ruts and forgot you don't need so much resolution for a bigger truck wheel. They probably do have multiple layers or at least remember the original heights. In terms of resolution, is there an...

Re: Why do you ride? Describe the feeling you get
Because even when you're having a terrible season, sitting near the back of the pack after some stupid crashes, feeling like crap and wondering why you spend so much on bike repairs, fuel, entry fees etc.....you'll nail that rut you've been struggling with all day and pass somebody on the outside, g...

Mxsim 2020? ;) http://www.bitvalve.org/~dholz/soil/Soil%20Deformation%20Models%20for%20Real-Time%20Simulation_A%20Hybrid%20Approach.pdf I'm sure we could live with having the on-track parts being the only active areas. I would imagine it's somewhat easier to simulate a nice and predictable dozer bla...

Re: Funny videos & Photos.
Phat's trolling skills are off the charts! Way too many pages have been dedicated to that pic, it was fairly amusing at best. If anybody was genuinely offended by it then they must not have much faith in their own religion. "Isn't it strange how in the vastness of the universe, a higher being would ...

Re: JVL plz change this
All I do is have it set to reset on back-up as default, then if I want to back up during a lap I pause, go to the menu and change the setting then go back into the game and continue my lap. You're not stuck with the setting you chose at the start of the time trial. It's a rare enough occurrence that...

Although I do think the same, he might be talking about my last comment Jeff. Just trying to see where reed can blame Stewart from hitting him? In that pic Mona posted is what I was talking about and Stewart's body language may seem like he gave reed a nudge? Who knows...Reed got squirrelly without...

Re: 2013 Zero MX
I just had a quick look and Nissan claim to be getting a specific energy of 140 Wh/Kg out of their LEAF cells which would require a 41kg bank of cells for the Zero MX's battery. This doesn't take into account cooling and control circuitry though. Maybe GM are the only honest ones with their figures.

Re: 2013 Zero MX
Yup, but they state 35-120 minutes "track riding time" which I took to mean more intensive riding. My bad for taking their upper bound though, but it's probably what I'd get with my riding. I don't know the specifics of the Volt's battery but I would assume a lot of the weight will be heat shunting ...

Re: 2013 Zero MX
Rare earth metals are not actually that rare but yes they are finite. I think lanthanum is only used in NiMH cells and I would assume this bike uses Li-ion but I'm not entirely sure. I'm lead to believe that lithium reserves are huge, and are consumed relatively slowly when used in a battery. Like I...
