2015-03-22 snapshot

No odd memory or CPU spikes when these stutters happen. I even went and tested another MP game (planetside 2) to see if anything odd was up; ran smooth as butter in 100+ player battles. I get that it's likely something on my computer, as this snapshot is working for others, I just don't get why one snapshot works fine yet this one screws me for online. At this point I guess I'll wait til the next snapshot releases and hope it magically gets resolved. Short of building a new computer I'm out of options.

I'd still like to resolve it. I don't think it's a bug in my code but if it is I want to find out now. Can you try this one?

Not much help here. If anything thing this made it slightly worse I cant even get near someone with out loss of FPS and offset. I don't know what else I can do, just wish I didn't have to run this snapshot for rF.

This one is better!! I can some what get close to people, its still shakey though every once in a while I will get a hard framerate/offset loss but then it seems like I can ride right next to someone with no problem. Even when we do starts everything seems good but then again I only did 2 races with this one.

After playing on this snapshot a bit I noticed that I only get the framerate drop when actually racing. If I'm in warm-up mode then everything runs smooth. I wonder if it has something to do with the updated collisions?

1256 is working a lot better for me. Played a bunch in 03 last night and just figured the fps issues were related to my ancient computer. As soon as i updated again to the newest snapshot in here it is a whole lot better. Still happens once in a great while.

Ya, but only if I'm in an actual race. Even being in 03 but in collision mode is fine...soon as I'm in an actual race it starts happening again.

I will say that the latest snapshot you posted in this thread (4-2) seems to be miles better from where we started. While the frame drop still happens it seems less severe and less frequent.

That should have been the same as 2015-03-19. If it isn't working the same, maybe something is infecting what you download. Check the md5 checksums of the files.

Ran the checksum and it matched up with yours exactly.

Are you sure 2015-03-19-1256 and 2015-04-02-1256 aren't running identically?

I want to try putting the changes back incrementally to see exactly what causes it, but I need to know that it's not just random and will produce a definite answer.

The 2015-03-12 snapshot fixed my fps drop. but obviusly i cant go with this snapshot because some servers dont run it, but just saying..

Ran 3 races and all was good! Ran perfectly smooth.

This snapshot worked for 1 lap in 01, then it got even worse than it was before. and in 03 i get framedrops in warmup too.
