Finally someone realises that it was ddmx that made the derogatory comment not DJ. How hard is it to ask for permission rather than steal stuff?

I'll agree as well, that redbull skin does look really good, as does the gear. But as I said, I rather that he would have contacted me about it, if he was -that- urgent to make a skin, I would have thrown in under the template.

And if people want to skin the model, they can. But they can make the whole thing from scratch. If they want to use my hard work, they are doing things my way. I want to stop the bad skins from being released, and release the good skins in packs so people aren't missing skins.

But after all this ordeal, I might change my game plan. If people want a YZF skin, they can send me their skin, I'll throw it under the template, and they can release it. Once there are enough skins made (like over five or something), I'll release them as a larger pack, which people who missed the single skin releases will most likely download.

I think what you are trying to do (keeping the number of rubbish skins released down) is admirable, but I just think you are giving yourself a lot of work (and who is really gonna thank you???)

I only download the skins I actually wanna use. If people wanna make junk, then so be it.
I just think that often times (& I'm not saying this is the case with you) - skin / template makers are after credit more than anything else.

I feel anyone is well within their rights to ask that other play by their rules, when using that creators work.

If DJ want's to do things the way he states - it's his to do with as he pleases.

Whatver about copyright it doesn't matter. The fact is, these people ripping open .saf's (or any other secure file) with the intention of stealing material are non-creative lazy jerkoffs, especially when the creator (DJ) gives any skin creator an avenue to submit graphics to be added into packages. It's not so much a copyright issue that gets creators mad as it is a RESPECT issue and respecting their wishes when it comes to using their work or parts of it.
