Re: Bryan Haskell UID-505
How hard would it be to convert a server to beginner SX?
Re: Bryan Haskell UID-505
Who would ride it?Prada wrote:How hard would it be to convert a server to beginner SX?
I wouldn't, and I can't qualify for the fast 40 in C class. I think a clean riding server that is more strictly governed, using more of a RF criteria for bans or some automated anti-ramming code, would be more effective. There's plenty of fast people who ruin every race they enter, and a reasonable number of people my speed I can ride cleanly with for several laps.

I'd be happy to setup another Supercross server with Marshals / Admins to keep it clean.SOAB_465 wrote:Who would ride it?Prada wrote:How hard would it be to convert a server to beginner SX?

I appreciated your honest feedback SOAB. No hard feelings!SOAB_465 wrote:I was one of the people banned for no reason and, granted, I was pissed at the time. I thought about starting this thread myself, but for the most part Shack is a positive influence on the racing in 03. When I came back in, after the 30 minutes was up, it was quite a bit more enjoyable racing so maybe there does need to be some discussion about a "clean racing" system, at least on one or two servers.
Would it be possible to run a script that gives a 15 or 30 minute ban if you crash or fall off a certain number of times in a race? It would be a better indicator than lap time, but obviously shack didn't have those stats so he did the best he could.
I was really unimpressed being banned just because I got torpedoed on the start and never got on the lead lap, but there was almost no way to ride in the server so something needed to change, he just went about it the wrong way.

This is just an ignorant comment.McLovin wrote:This is a prime example of the "vets" thinking they're special.
Explain to me how this is an example of the vets thinking they are special...
My only goal was to clean up the racing in the server.

Re: Bryan Haskell UID-505
You can't just clean up the racing by kicking random slow people from the server for the simple fact that they're slow and you're getting frustrated though.

Two key things you have wrong.Zachkx100 wrote:You can't just clean up the racing by kicking random slow people from the server for the simple fact that they're slow and you're getting frustrated though.
I didn't randomly kick people.
I wasn't the only person frustrated. Even a guy that was kicked said that the racing was much better as a result. What does that tell you?

If we're being honest...
It tells me that you are full of yourself and think that you did good by punishing innocent people because you didn't think they were good enough to race on the same track as you.
