Re: Conection lag
Try disabling any background programs you don't need.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... erformance
Look under "Limit how many programs run at startup".

Re: Conection lag
Yeah i do the same for WIndows XP, I disable all the Startup programs and it helps truly a lot for me.
Re: Conection lag
You could try increasing the priority level too. There's a good thread on how to increase a program's priority level here.

Still having lag problem with multiplayer please help me!!!
I still have problems with multiplayer. The offset runs up to 13000 and goes back to 0 in about 30 seconds and that happens multiple times a race.
Please help me because i want to ride online so bad

Does the game actually freeze for 13 seconds or are you just getting a very low frame rate?

Re: Conection lag
its just a very low frame rate but i dont know if it is the conection that lags or my graphics. I have an geforce gts250 512mb ram graphics card so that should be good
Re: Conection lag
When the track loads, it will say how much texture memory is used in the chat console. If it's over 512 MB, it will swap textures to system memory which will cause a lot of lag.
To reduce the memory used, try turning down "Model Texture Detail". When there are a lot of players using 2048x2048 skins you could easily go over 512 MB. You should also keep "Ground Texture Resolution" at or below 128x128.

Re: Conection lag
What does it say under "driver info" on the graphics/sound setup screen?
Does the frame rate stay smooth when you watch these demos?

Re: Conection lag
Might be a stupid question, but do you have shaders enabled? if so, turn them OFF, they make me get a bad frame rate, so maybe that's what your problem is...
