Honestly, I think you are overshading the metals. It's whitewashing the texture, which will hide the specular highlights. That way of skinning is typically used when you don't have specularity
It's because there is a softglow in the image, the metals are nothing like that i'll post another soon. without editing. I knew someone was going to say that.
