See those boxes on the upper right? hit the second one and you can add on to what you have.

Hold the shift key while using the lasso tool. It will add to the selection. If you want to deselect some parts hold the alt key with the lasso tool.
Or you can use the pen tool. Make a path (what you want to select) then right click > make selection. That way you can edit your path or save it if you need it later.

thanks alot guys. Yeah yFMX i used to use the pen tool, no idea why im not doing it anymore haha.
