just looks a little strange to me I think it would look better if the leg was in focus but that just my opinion

We know and flash does not make the text blink it enables a flash player.

That, I would imagine, is done with spec maps and gradients though I could be wrong.

That helmet looks bad in my opinion because it looks too cartoony. The way to make it look realistic IMO is make the rubber part or whatever it is and make it black or silver or chrome and change the goggles to either a shinier lens or a silver shiny lens. The rest of the helmet looks great though
