got clubs jumps and turns and ruts and jumps etc done but i need some decals and i was wondering if there was any track creaters out there who would make me some custom decals that look somewhat like club mx bikes

jgmtbike, that looks pretty rad.

I used to make tracks back in the MCM2 days, including a couple for Unleashed. 10 years later, I get the itch to design some tracks again, and I discover MXS will run on mac. Currently working on an outdoor track set on this dream piece of property in Sweetwater, Al.

Pretty much nothing but the disp map going on right now. Currently tweaking that while trying to learn the decal/tile/shading system. Anybody interested in beta testing, shoot me a PM. I suck at actually riding in this game, so it'd be great to get some input from some folks who can actually put in some fast laps, ha!

To go into further detail about the size, I recommend this video. I explain the different files and values:


For the satellite image, I have 2 "live track making" parts where I do that. The 1st one I use just 1 image over the whole thing, the other one I show how I create a more detailed image using multiple screenshots.

The first one here, the track "Stenungsund" is the idea of me streaming the whole process of making a replica from start to end, since I got into the MXSGP trackmaking crew, I've put this one aside, but plan on continuing on with the series and track. A brief overview is that in the 1st part I set up the folder and files + add the in game overlay satellite image, then (no idea which part is which) I move on to freehanding the elevation and then I do jumps and stuff. Here's part 1 with the satellite image:


For Teutschenthal where I use multiple images, I just made a new image 10.000x10.000 just to not have any size constraints when I puzzle it together:

This is a track I've spent so many hours on... From my estimations (mainly adding podcasts, music and movies added together), I've spend over 300h on this track.. This is the first track I ever started on making, yet now, 4 years later I'm close to finishing it.. It started off with the mx track, than the small FMX, 50cc track, the practice mx track, the big fmx, the enduro (pieces of it), pool track and the ending with the remaining of the enduro. The only problem here was the there is soooo much on-track, you don't want to have shitty and blurry decals... So... I had a bit over 45.000 decals placed and almost 3000 statues.. Lag, yet. So now I made an overlay and deleted the off-track decals for each individual track, getting me below 10.000 decals most of the time. Also I've removed some statues, created LOD's and stuff... Here are some pictures, videos of the different tracks are on my youtube channel.

Washougal is always the most difficult round of the year with the trees and shadows, alot of material re-working to get it looking normal-ish.
