Re: post pics of your bikes
the 1 and only thing I did to my YZ for plastics was a cycra 2010 style front fender that is made to fit the 125/250 clamps. Only reason I did it is because my old front fender was munched.

There was a lot of two bangers at the qualifier. More than last year. Lots of 250 B guys on them, last year it was 250 C mostly.

DOOOO ITTTT! IMO they are way more fun and cost much less to run. Just replace the ring every 30-40 hours and mix your fuel right ( I run opti-2 @ 40:1) and you wont have to replace your piston very often. I got 100 hours out of a piston on my 06 KX 250 good luck finding one though. or a YZ or a ktm atleast. All the 2 strokes are being snatched up in my area. I got lucky with my UZ.On The Pipe wrote:Sweet, everyone keeps buying 250T's i might have to follow suit.ddmx wrote:Just bought this today. 18 hours is good if i keep riding alot longer i feel that the piston is beggining to get old.
some guys here who ride for vdlaar change pistons every 3 hours. not sure if they still change so often they dont ride 144ccs any more so might be 6 -10 hours at max

Re: post pics of your bikes
It all depends on what oil your using and what you ride like. I ride as smooth as i can, but i still ride hard. 100 hours on the piston is alot, but when i go camping im putting 15 hrs on the bike in 1 weekend (2 days). On. 125 i could see someone doing. Piston 2x a season, maybe 3. but on a 250 id say once a season and maybe 2 max. I replace a piston every 2nd ring and replace the cylinder every 2nd piston. bottom end when it needs it.
Re: post pics of your bikes
15 hours in 1 weekend? those tracks must be hard. im riding in soft sand all the time so yeah im in high rev all the time also im riding a 125 dunno about you if i would ride a 250 i would be riding longer with them pistons aswell since not so much rev and stuffBallsfalsky wrote:It all depends on what oil your using and what you ride like. Re: post pics of your bikes
its depends on what bike you ride and where but change pistons more often then 10h is too much only if you are pro then 10hours is ok
an otherwise if you ride like 100(except cr500 hehe)hour thetns too much too for 450 - 40-50 250f - 20-30MaXimum

Talking about something technical about bikes with Ballsfalsky is like arguing with a brick wall.
