Hey August I figured you would know what's causing my computer to do this.
About 5 times today it's randomly rebooted itself saying something got installed incorrectly and it had a "Crash dump file" or something, it'll show a blue screen then reboot. What's up with that?

I had this happen on my old laptop. For me, it was a bad stick of RAM. But they found that the HDD was faulty as well. I would check those two first.
No that won't solve it, that will just make the computer stay on the bluescreen and not automatically restart. It will just give you time to read the error .

I was getting random BSOD's for no apparent reason. I started monitoring the cpu temp and the issue was that over time the thermal paste between my cpu and heat sink had nearly faded away. I reapplied thermal paste, the temperatures went down, and hasn't BSOD'd since.
