JLV 2003 O_O
Re: JLV 2003 O_O
(I admit I'm a little creeped out that someone's digging so deep they're finding stuff I posted in newgroups 20 years ago, but anyway...)
This is from a long time ago when there was an active interactive fiction (i.e. text adventure games like Zork) newsgroup (i.e. like reddit only better). There was someone wanting to have a competition for tiny games. But the size limit he set was ridiculously high IMO. I think it was 64k, which is a pretty big text adventure. So I figured I'd make an entry that flagrantly wasted space by including graphics. The game wasn't good though since I have absolutely no talent as a writer. Mostly just a stunt to show 64k isn't a small game.
Here's a video about a text adventure that actually is tiny. 10 lines of BASIC!
