Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
STOP DOING GOOD GAMES FOR THE SHITPHONE AND DO SOME GOOD GAMES FOR THE WINDOWS MOBILES LIKE THE HTC HD2.
Looks really really cool, but the sound was shitty. ( who cares ) looks really fun!

Definitely needs to be on Windows. Looks way better than MSM.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
I'm probably gonna have to take that back. MSM is sweet.

Looks nice!

And now, do one for the droid

How do promo codes work with iTunes? I've never seen or knew about them.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
You can enter the promo codes on the itunes store page using the redeem link. I have only tested this game on a 3GS and have had reports that it doesn't work on a 3G. I have fixed the problem and there should be an update out soon. If you have a 3G and you can use a code then I'd download it anyway and wait for the update.

@Number3: Did you make this? I may get it being only $1.99. It looks fun.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
Yes it's my game.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
What are these low opacity white boxes in the screen (outlined in red)?
And a couple things:
-I think that it would be cool if the guy started in a sitting position, then once you hit the gas, he stands.
-I haven't played the game, but i think it would be better if some tracks had different environments (I don't know if the video only showed one track, or what).
-The jump's have defined, hard edges for the sides. I guess that this is fine, but it would be more realistic if the jumps had rounded off sides.
-The dirtbike looks really good, i think that the guy should have some better designed gear though, to go with the dirtbike.
-I like the yellow "AMA" stakes.
Lastly, out of curiosity, you won't come into any trouble with having Kawasaki's bike design in your game? (I'm thinking not, because i also saw a big clothing store's commercial on TV that had a dirtbike with Kawasaki's design. The same one used in this game.)
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
-There boxes are to show the user where to touch the screen (left is accelerated, middle is brake and the box on the right is to make the rider lean)
-Different environments are on the cards in a future update.
-I agree about the jumps but it's the best I could do, I may change this but at the moment it's not a priority.
-The kit is loosely based on the TLD "day in the dirt" kit which I ride in.
I'm not entirely sure about the last point. The bike isn't actually called "kawasaki" in the game so I think it's ok. The "kawasaki" bike in reflex is called dakumoto??? which leads me to believe that as long as I don't use their logo etc. it's ok. It's not as though I'm making millions of dollars off their brand anyway.

Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
I think you need to do a version for the ipod touch. You would get a lot more downloads.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
Bought and I have to admit its pretty good.
Re: PureMX - motocross game for iphone
Thanks for the comment Pumaxcs. I've had a few shitty comments (mainly from non-motocross users)about the game so far so it's nice to hear someone likes it.
The update should include:
-3G bug fix
- Ability to switch off control regions
- Ghost of fastest time
- Multiple Laps
- A few physics tweaks
- Various other tweaks and changes
- Game Center integration to allow for online scoring (Hopefully this will be in this update)
- A Lite version with a couple of tracks
- Anything else that is suggested between now and when I submit the update.
I'd love to spend a lot more time on this at the moment but I'm back at university so I have at lot less time to work on the game.
