When texturing is there anything you import from the 3d program like any mapping or how do you know where and why to add these random bits of shading?

As Ohagan said, you can bake a Ambient Occlusion map from whatever 3D program you use. There are different techniques that will get you different results as well.

Cavity maps from the normal map work too sometimes, just depends.

Thanks guys.

sapelgas, I know but if I made the watermark above the skin, it would look fucked up for the preview haha.

So why would you even bother to make a watermark?
