AGV *MT-X Helmet Model Download

Post by ddmx »

The AGV *MT-X, worn by pros such as Millsaps, Philappearts, Pastrana, and Fiolek. (might not be the MT-X model name)

No skins included, but a wireframe is. Goggles and face same as Thor model. Thanks to Luiz for that!

Inspired by the DP19 design contest and kawasaki's involvement in that.

What's up with the top of the helmet on the layout? Are the two faces on the ends not mapped?

because the faces that merge with those faces are on the other side. i blended the faces on the other side to make it flush, but couldn't get away with making those faces on the right side flush.

Naw I wasn't talking about the 2010 designs though they do look pretty complex, they are still copies and shouldn't be THAT difficult. After i get this custom skin done I might make one of them idkkk haha

hmm... figured i'd never see this helmet with a skin in game after the great accolades it got when released. shading is soooo hard, don't even mention normal and spec maps, i could never be bothered making a skin because that wasn't provided to me.

thats maybe because no one has this helmet irl, if you made a bell helmet for example alot of people would give reactions because alot of people have them irl.

but the lagg of reactions doesnt mean you didnt do a amazing job on the helmet.

Idk who that was directed towards but I don't feel it was necessary from any reply in this thread.

The trouble with this model is that not many people have it, like mxbiker stated. As well as I don't feel the model is exactly completed.

That is the 2010 version of the helmet, and really the only model style I can find(other than various paint styles) of this helmet and as you can see there are quite a few differences from various areas biggest being the mouth piece and the crown of the helmet near the visor.

Now I dont have any problem creating my own normals, specs, and shading but its hard to do on an incomplete model alone. Personally I think the model is great like I told you on msn when you were working on it and it has a ton of potential to enable skinners to create high quality designs.
