Hit me up on msn man Ill let you know how to make it symmetrical.p2sta wrote:thanks for the crits man, finally someone who can look at it and tell me the truth
I know the unwrapping is bad and i don't have skills to make it better atm...I'm trying to learn more about it, but it's quite hard as you can see just basic tutorial or stuff like "use relax tool" and it's ok...but that's not how it works to make it easy to skin, so hopefully I will get some more experience with this soon
about that symmetrical stuff...the body is not symmetrical so the wire can't be too(I guess)...anyway for the next update on the rider I will work a lot more on the wire to make it easier for skinner to skin it
Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
thanks guys I should work more on it and I will! Hopefully then there will be some skins made for it
wilson: I know how to make it symmetrical, but i don't want it to be this way

Why? Pretty stupid IMO

I mean, the rider not the wire irl your body is not symmetrical too, so why the rider should be? I will try to repair the wire somehow so it IS symmetrical!
Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
Oh, OK.
Your body might not be perfectly symmetrical, but chances are that your gear is.

But like that one dude said earlier. Your gear isn't actually ever like that in real life. Especially when you're riding, you jersey moves around, and when your just sitting in it it could still be not tucked in evenly all the way around or just have enough "folds" ( I guess I will call them ) on it.
Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
Yes lol I can help you get the wireframe symmetrical. If youd like I can just go ahead and do it then you can import the uvs and see if you like them.p2sta wrote:I mean, the rider not the wire irl your body is not symmetrical too, so why the rider should be? Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
ok, wilson will hit you on msn later today thanks man
and well I agree with guys, when you have your gear on, it's folded and stuff, and you can't do the folds looks good just by using normal maps...so i guess having some "problems" on the wire can actually be a good thing

Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
I would rather have more control over the folds instead of the wireframe stretching and stuff.
Sounds like a good recovery from a mistake.

Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
Ok so what I got done so far is:
No noticeable stretching while still making it symmetrical
Moved seam from back of pants to front. Now it should be a ton easier to skin pants.
Optimized the uv a bit to allow for a bit more resolution on pants.

Meant to make a celebratory comment after that quote.

Now if you can move the shirt's seam from the sides to front and back into a place that's straight and I'll be happy.
Those who possess strength have also known adversity.
Re: *rider model & astars bionic neck support*
I can't get in my head how that would work.
I think maybe doing like the front and back torso together, then the arms separate would work kinda good though. Would really suck for lines on the torso to the shoulder though. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
